Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about our IAA Level 1 Training
Does this course give me a license to practice?
No. This is an educational training programme designed to prepare you for the IAA Level 1 assessment and teach you safe compliance. Authorisation/Licensing is granted solely by the OISC/IAA after you pass their official exams and apply for regulation. We provide the knowledge; the regulator provides the licence.
Do I need legal experience to join?
Not at all. This course is specifically designed for beginners. We explain all legal terminology in plain English and build your knowledge from the ground up, making it suitable for career changers, admin staff, or students.
Is the training online or in-person?
The training is delivered live online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. This allows you to join from anywhere while still interacting directly with the instructor and asking questions in real-time.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon completing the session, you will be issued a Training Completion Certificate from James Immigration Solutions Ltd (Training Wing). This serves as evidence of your professional development and commitment to learning.
How long is the training session?
The live teaching usually lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours. This includes breaks and dedicated time for Q&A to ensure you fully understand the material.
What happens if I miss the live class?
If you cannot attend due to an emergency, please contact us immediately. Depending on your package, we may be able to move your booking to the next available date. Please refer to our booking terms for full details.
What study materials do I get?
After enrolment, you will receive a comprehensive Soft Copy Study Pack. This includes the core learning notes, a glossary of terms, a revision roadmap, and scenario-based examples to help you revise.
Can I give advice to clients after this course?
Strictly No. Unless you are already regulated or working under the direct supervision of an authorised person within a regulated firm, you cannot provide immigration advice. This course teaches you how to give advice safely once you are authorised, but it does not legalise you to do so immediately.
Is this course updated for 2024/2025 rules?
Yes. Immigration rules change frequently. Our materials and live sessions are regularly updated to reflect the latest Home Office guidance and IAA Level 1 syllabus requirements.
How do I pay and enrol?
You can enrol by contacting us via WhatsApp or Email. We accept payments via Bank Transfer. Once payment is confirmed, your seat is reserved and your study pack is released.
